DecisionPivot: A Diagnostic Benchmark for Decision Models in LLM Systems
Upvotes59Authors10
Glossary term
A standardized test used to compare model performance on a task.
A benchmark is a fixed set of tasks with a scoring method, so different models can be compared on the same footing. Examples test knowledge, math, coding or using a computer.
Scores are only comparable when the setup, such as number of attempts and tools allowed, is the same.
Benchmarks drive headlines and purchasing, but they can be gamed, contaminated or simply fail to reflect real work, so read them critically.
