Accessibility

We want everyone to be able to read Nanofuze, whatever device, ability or setting they use. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA.

What we do

The site is built to work in these ways:

semantic headings, landmarks and a skip link, so screen readers and keyboards can navigate quickly;
everything can be used with the keyboard alone, with visible focus outlines;
light and dark themes, readable text sizes and strong colour contrast;
layouts that adapt from small phones to wide desktop screens, with page zoom up to 200 percent;
motion and animation switch off when your device asks for reduced motion;
a text assistant as well as voice: you never need a microphone to use any feature.

Known limits

Some glossary diagrams are visual explanations that are also described in the surrounding text, but their detail may be harder to follow with a screen reader. Voice input depends on your browser's speech recognition and is not available in every browser.
