Copilot

An AI assistant embedded in a tool to help a user as they work.

How it works

A copilot is an AI assistant built into a tool you are using, such as a code editor or word processor. It suggests completions, drafts and answers in context while you stay in control.

The name stresses a supporting role: the person remains the pilot.
