Generative AI creates new content rather than just classifying or predicting. Text models write, image and video models draw, audio models speak or compose, and code models program.
They learn patterns from enormous datasets and generate new samples that resemble them.
It brought AI to the mainstream, and raised questions about copyright, misinformation and jobs.
