A setup in which several AI agents work together or interact to complete tasks.
In a multi-agent system, several AI agents with different roles cooperate, for instance a planner, a coder and a reviewer who checks the code. They pass messages and results to one another.
Splitting a task can improve quality and allow parallel work, but it adds complexity and cost.
It is a design pattern for tackling large tasks by dividing them among specialists.
