In EU law, an AI system used in sensitive areas, such as hiring or critical infrastructure, that faces stricter requirements.
Under the EU AI Act, high-risk systems are those used in sensitive areas, such as hiring, credit, education, law enforcement, border control and critical infrastructure, or as safety components of regulated products.
Providers must manage risks, use good data, keep records, ensure human oversight and meet accuracy and robustness standards.
The label determines which systems must meet the Act's strictest requirements.
