Filling in or editing part of an image using generative AI.
Inpainting regenerates a selected part of an image so it fits the surroundings: removing an object, repairing damage or swapping an element based on a prompt.
The model sees the unmasked area as context and fills in the masked region.
It is a core feature of AI image editors.
