Glossary term
Ways of structuring information so a computer can reason with it.
Knowledge representation is the study of how to store facts and rules about the world in a form a computer can reason with: logic statements, semantic networks, frames, ontologies or knowledge graphs.
A good representation makes the needed inferences easy and keeps knowledge maintainable.
How knowledge is represented decides what a system can reason about.
